“ For a great seaside dining experience, I have discovered a gem of a restaurant right on uMdloti Beach. The Sandbar Restaurant stands just a hop and a skip away from the Indian Ocean, with Johnny Walker showing the way across the road and into the restaurant. Offering a mixed fare of Grills and seafood, together with a dedicated Sushi Bar, it's large, sea-facing glass windows opening out to bring the scenic seascape right to your table. Staff were courteous and helpful. ”

Also had the pork ribs, it was tender and soft, falling of the bone. Now the coctails are definitely in a league of it's own! Properly made with the correct measurements and ingredients. Bathroom facilities excellent and beautifully decorated. Management and staff was friendly and professional in the same manner. Really enjoyed eating there. Though parking is a bit of a problem, but it seems to be like that all along that beachfront area. ”

Ribeye steak for the husband and I went big with a 600g t-bone which I thought I'd be taking a doggy bag for but it was so good I ate the lot the Dijon mushroom sauce and creamy garlic sauce were both delicious. Husband had a "Wild Sex on Umdloti Beach" (orange cocktail) and I had a Drunk Taxi Driver (strawberry cocktail) - funny names delicious drinks! Stunning view of the ocean too! ”
